AFRALTI is an approved Fiber Optics Training School with number 758. AFRALTI in conjunction with The Fiber Optic Association Inc. (FOA) is offering Certified Fiber Optic Technician (CFOT) and Certified Premises Cabling Technician (CPCT) Courses. Intensive one week training with both theory and practical is offered by highly qualified instructors.

AFRALTI is committed to equip technicians and engineers with technical and theoretic skills who will then be ready to be deployed in the ongoing Broadband initiatives in Africa. The time is now for Broadband. There is massive national investments in backbone Fiber rollouts in different African Countries. These rollouts demand skilled human resource capital to guarantee the promised returns from properly implemented projects. Use of certified engineers and technicians is one way to secure that guarantee.

A number of countries have developed Broadband Strategies and some are already rolling out e-Government; e-Health and e-Education to ensure realisation of the millennium goals.

Potential participants are Voice, Data and Video (VDV) and FTTx Technicians; IT and Telecom Engineers. High School leavers who are inspiring to be Fiber Optic or Premises Cabling Technicians are also welcome. Electronics, Telecom and Computer Engineering Students in their final year will find this course very useful as they prepare for the job market.
