AFRALTI CISCO Training in Gambia
In its mandate to develop human capacity in ICT in the Sub-Saharan Africa, AFRALTI crossed borders to Gambia to train participants in the CISCO CyberOps Associate.
AFRALTI facilitated the training at the Gambia Telecommunications Institute which saw 30 participants take the class from different ministries and organizations in the country. Ministries and organizations represented were; Ministry of Youths & Sports, Ministry of Health, Ministry of Finance, Ministry of ICT, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Defense, Gambia Ports Authority and the National Audit.
The Cisco Certified CyberOps Associate certification program validates the day-today, tactical knowledge and skills that Security Operations Center (SOC) teams need to detect and respond to cybersecurity threats.
Uncovering cybercrime, cyber espionage, and other networking threats are just some of the exciting cybersecurity jobs spanning across every industry.
In the training students learned security concepts, security monitoring, host-based analysis, network intrusion analysis, and security policies procedures. The course also aligned with the National Initiative for Cybersecurity Education (NICE) Cybersecurity Workforce Framework to support consistent communication language for cybersecurity education, training, and workforce development.
As a CISCO Support Center and Academy, AFRALTI provides engaging learning experiences with interactive content such as practice labs, videos and assessments along the way.
