AFRALTI Director, Mr. William Baraza, had the honor of delivering a keynote speech at the prestigious 2024 BRICS Forum on Partnership on New Industrial Revolution (BRICS PartNIR) in Xiamen, China. During his address, Mr. Baraza emphasized the increasing importance of collaboration in emerging technologies, particularly focusing on the transformative potential of Artificial Intelligence (AI).

He called upon the forum’s diverse audience of global leaders, innovators, and policymakers to embrace the opportunity for partnerships in AI and other advanced technologies. Mr. Baraza stressed that by working together, the BRICS nations can leverage innovation and cooperation to build a future defined by technological growth and shared progress.

The forum provided a platform for AFRALTI to highlight its commitment to fostering technological advancement, capacity building and research across Africa, while reinforcing the need for global partnerships to address the challenges and opportunities presented by the Fourth Industrial Revolution.
