AFRALTI TRAININGS, CONSULTANCY AND EVENTS HIGHLIGHTS 👤 By Catherine Kagwiria 🕓 Posted: 20 / 12 / 2022 | 👁 Views: 837 A delegation from Autoridade Reguladora das Comunicações de Moçambique (INCM) the Postal and telecom regulator in Mozambique and the Uganda Communications Commission, made a benchmarking visit at the Communications Authority of Kenya’s Frequency Spectrum Management department. The delegation was in Kenya undergoing a capacity building training at AFRALTI on Mastering Telecommunication Regulations and Spectrum Monitoring respectively. A team from Mocambique Telecom (Tmcel) were hosted by AFRALTI in November as they benchmarked on Human Resource processes with different telecoms in Kenya. Tmcel is in the process of reviewing the current Transitional Company structure, which was implemented immediately after the merge in 2018/2019 between the former fixed/TDM and Mobile/mcel, to a more Business/Market oriented approach. The change in the structure is intended to meet the increasing customer requirements/needs for the current and future market changes resulting from the industry evolution and trends. AFRALTI Director, Mr. William Baraza attended the International Telecommunication Union’s Plenipotentiary Conference in Bucharest, Romania where he had the pleasure of meeting delegations from Kenya, Zimbabwe, Malawi, Uganda, Gambia, Zambia amongst other world leaders in the ICT sector. The Plenipotentiary Conference (PP 22) is ITU’s highest policy-making body which meets once every four years to set the Union’s general policies, adopt the four-year strategic and financial plans, and elect the senior management team of the organization. Participants from the National Communications Authority (NCA) of South Sudan have completed a 5-day training at AFRALTI main campus in Managing Regulatory Compliance.
